Artificial intelligence (AI) has continued to pave new paths for technology and is now making big impacts on radiation therapy for many of patients. Research led by Cleveland Clinic have shown great progress with using AI technology partnered with medical scans and health records to provide customized doses of radiation to individual cancer patients. Currently, doses of radiation therapy are given in generic sizes and the unique characteristics of a patient’s tumor are not taken into consideration which reduces the overall success of a treatment given.
