Acceletronics, Inc. announces the installation of 15 TheraView LX® Technology Electronic Portal Imaging Systems for IGRT treatment verification

EXTON PA- July 19th, 2007 – Acceletronics, Inc., A U.S. provider of Oncology equipment service and distributor of new and pre-owned radiotherapy equipment, announced that it has recently completed the installation of  15 TheraView Electronic Portal Imaging Devices (EPID) over the past 6 months to 11 cancer treatment centers in Florida, Texas, California, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Colorado.  The TheraView EPID is an image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) cancer treatment verification system, designed by Dutch manufacturer Cablon Medical BV.  The TheraView® system, designed for the precise needs of radiation therapy, delivers Clinicians an extensive scope of mega-voltage portal imaging and quality assurance features for daily IGRT verification.   TheraView Target Check® with automated treatment beam shape verification and patient position verification software gives the precision and control Clinicians need for both conventional, image guided (IGRT) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
